September: Making Rocks

Rocks and stone forms in both red-brown and black stoneware. These two have a sculpted essence of scholar’s rocks—formed by shaping, meticulously cutting, incising, and piercing the surfaces to mimic the ways natural elements erode and transform rock over time.

Textured stoneware sculpture by Donnelly Marks, with rough, irregular surfaces inspired by natural stone.
