Sunlight, water, ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide bring back some darkroom magic. Sheltering-in-place has led me to experiment with new processes and materials with exciting results. This new print series combines photography and collage work with cyanotype printing. The images have an ethereal quality of sea creatures suspended in blue. Each day I made new prints, a calendar of sorts, marking the days with a new print added to the series. The culmination of this series was a virtual exhibition of pandemic cyanotypes, installed in my Long Island City studio.
